A lesson to introduce the key terms in the Eduqas Judaism Unit.
The lesson includes a variety of printable activities including a crossword and word search. I pair students up and ask them to complete these as a competition before begining the lesson (word search = LA, crossword = HA). Each slide contains the Spec definition alongside an activity and challenge question.
Please note this would work perfectly well for Edexcel as an introduction lesson, as the spec covered the same topics.
Includes:
Word search
Crossword
KS3 recap (may need to adapt)
Key terms and info slides
True/False quiz
Key word bingo (with extra key terms)
“Guess What?” activity
Challenge questions for fast finishers.
Written answer title plenary
Packaway reflection plenary

**These are booklets used in Catholic General RE for Year 12. **
Our Course is designed around Pope Francis’ encyclical ‘Fratelli Tutti.’ In his letter to all humans in the world the Pope asks us to unite as a brotherhood to end suffering and injustice and act as the good Samaritan to all of our neighbours. The booklets are centred around the following topics & films:
Blood Diamond/Modern Day Slavery
I Daniel Blake/Poverty/Christmas & Consumerism
Hotel Rwanda/Genocide/Holocuast Memorial Day
Selma/Fraternity & Racism
Dead Man Walking/Capital Punishment
This bundle contains the booklets only for a years worth of General RE lessons. These lessons are predominantly taught from the booklets alongside collective worship. You can find last years Holocaust Memorial Day Liturgy for free in a separate resource to download, this is referenced in booklet 3. The booklets include question and answers, articles and spaces to jot down notes. Lots of the lessons centre around discussion from the booklets.
Please note the 6th term is not included as we complete alternative activities during this half term.
Alongside these booklets we have historically arranged guest speakers, in particular I would highly reccomend Amnesty International if you are based in the North East of England.
